Geotextile is a new type of building material. The raw materials are polyester and synthetic fibers by polyester, polypropylene and other polymer. Generally speaking, it has the advantages of high strength, anti-aging, acid and alkali resistance, good flexibility, convenient construction, low investment and high efficiency.
At present, the most commonly used geotextiles in engineering are polyester staple fiber geotextiles and polyester filament geotextiles. So what is the function of these two geotextile non woven fabric in engineering?
For the first separation, geotextiles can effectively prevent the mixing of soil and materials, thereby avoiding the mixing of different materials or soil erosion, in order to protect soft soil foundations.
Secondly, the geotextile can make the water flow freely and without pressure, but it can prevent the loss of soil particles, thus avoiding the instability and erosion of some projects.
